Happy Wednesday! Unfortunately I missed last week due to craziness at work. My partner art teacher left unexpectedly, put on 2 months of bed rest. Nothing was ready, so I've been scrambling quite a bit! But I am back and still working with my new backgrounds. I have to say, I love the red behind the jack in the pulpit. The orange, not so much. What do you think?? Hope you visit some of the other wonderful artists at WOYWW!
A blog about my (mis)adventures as I try to make it in the world of illustration.

WOYWW #4- Background Musings
Dear readers,
Happy Wednesday!

Your images are beautiful! Jack in the Pulpits are one of my favorite flowers, I think it looks lovely the green and the red together.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the visit, hope things calm down for you.

what lovely paintings, the bottom one looks like an Arum lily to me, well that what we call it her. Have a good week. Francesca #130

I am a red person - so I love the red one, never heard it called Jack in the Pulpit before though.
ReplyDeleteI like them both . . . perhaps the green/red provides more contrast and that is what you are liking about it? Thanks for sharing your art with us. :-) ~ Laura #105
ReplyDeleteLove love the first photo!! Second one while a nice painting doesn't do it for me. Too much contrast maybe. Love the both drawings, h of lot better than I could ever do! I'm a bit late desk hopping... Happy WOYWW! Nan 107
ReplyDeleteI think they're both lovely. But I do prefer the red as that is my favorite color. I really like the color of the yellow flowers. I'm horrible with flower names so I am not even going to try. April #101
ReplyDeleteThe flowers are gorgeous, you're so good! I prefer the orange, don't ask me why....
ReplyDeleteHi Liz, I nominated you for the Liebster Award, check out my blog for the info
